Hi

I want to do the simulation of AD8250.

I made the model from "AD8250.cir" file.

But I couldn't simulate that.

Error message is below.

*** ERROR *** The circuit is too large to simulate with this version.

Too many analog nodes

Please provide the AD8250 model file?

and please give us the tips to go well .

Regards

Simulation using AD8336, AD736 and AD8551 spice models in Pspice

I have this circuit to be simulated in Pspice. I'm a complete newbie to it. But so far have managed to make the schematic (adding external components, which were not available already in the library).

I have added models for AD8336, AD736 and AD8551 externally (models for which were available on Analaog devices website). Now when I try to run my simulation, I get errors as to the sub circuits used by AD8336 and AD736 are undefined (although I have added the libraries for both the AD8336 and AD8551 to my design in the simulation profile).

Kindly help. I really feel stuck up at this point. I got to make this work anyhow.
Thanks in advance

In trouble simulating IN-AMP

Hi there,

I'm in trouble to simulate IN-AMP, AD623.

I'd like to check transient analysis, but for some reason the output of AD623  does not work....

There is the error message,

"

Device AD623 found in C:\Program Files\ADIsimPE_720\support\Models\analog_devices_linear_encrypted.lb

Error : Cannot find vector of name 'U1_OUT'

"

I think this is the model issue, can you tell me how to fix this problem?

My virsion is 7.20 and I attached the file just in case.

Best regards,

Tarzan

"Ultra librarian" (boy, does this UI need a complete re-do), produces a 2D dxf (despite selecting 3D).  When I try to export the STP/STL model, I get Component "ADP7102ARDZ-R7" renamed to "ADP7102ARDZ-R7" and no model.

Is there a better tool available or perhaps models posted on the Analog web site that we may use?

ADM1166 Programmable Driver Output(12V charge-pump output) is not coming for a single channel

Hi,

I am using ADM1166 for monitoring & sequencing the supplies in my board.

All the charge pump output of the ADm1166 i.e. PDO1 to PDO6 should give a output voltage of 12V.

PDO1 to PDO5 is giving a output voltage of 12V.

But PDO6 is not giving  12V instead it is giving a less voltage between 0.075 to 0.15V.

The PDO6 pin & ground impedance is 442ohm & the impedance of other outputs i.e. PDO1 to PDO5 to ground is 1.5Mohm.

I am suspecting the ADM1166 sequencer CONFIGURABLE OUTPUT DRIVER (HV) for the particular channel gone bad.

Can you suggest how the output driver would have failed.

Regards,

Soumya S

Linear regulator models?

$

I also posted this question here: Where are the linear regulators in ADIsimPE?

I am interested in simulating some linear regulators including the ADM7154, ADM7150, ADP7182, and ADP1740/1741. So off I went and downloaded the linear regulator excel spreadsheet tool. I am impressed by its capabilities. But it doesn't show any plots of efficiency, PSRR, ripple, or temperature.

@So then I downloaded ADEsimPE and tried to simulate it myself. I had no luck finding the SIMPLIS or SIMetrix model for any of the above parts.

Then I read in the ADEsimPE user's guide that I should be able to click a single button and have my design exported to ADEsimPE. But I could not find this button in the spreadsheet. So dead end there.

Ironically, there are linear regulators from LTI.

Why can't I find any linear regulator models in ADEsimPE? Am I just being dumb and looking in the wrong place?

Thanks for your time.

Hi  Sir:

1\how many bits change of 0xFEA8(CS2 Value) equals to 1 bit change of  0xFE17(CS2 analog trim)?

2\how much input analog offset errors can be compensated by0xFE17 ?

3\Do you have fast algorithm to trim 0xFE17 so that the value in Register 0xFEA8 reads is as close as possible to 100 decimal in minimum steps?

4\can we set 0xFE16 according to 0xFEA8 reads after analog trim so that the READ_IOUT reading is 0 A? how to choose 0xFE16 according to 0xFEA8 reads

Is there a way to integrate and simulate ADP5090 Model(SIMPLIS) and AD8210(SiMetrix) into a single circuit?

Hello,

I'm new to ADIsimPE and  trying to simulate a regulator circuit with current/power monitoring. This leads me to using ADP5090 for regulator and AD8210 current shunt monitor IC into a single circuit, but I'm having below error prompts during simulation:

if using SIMetrix:

*** ERROR *** Cannot find definition for sub-circuit 'ADP5090_Model'

if using SIMPLIS:

Unable to locate the definition

of `subcircuit AD8210' in the

input, include, or library file(s).

I'm curious if we can simulate both components into a single circuit? Appreciate if you can share some work-around to this.

Thanks,

Versil1

Hello. Help solve the problem, with a thermoelectric controller ADN8831 used in an 695. Tell me the formula to determine the unknowns R1, R2, R3 for given values of the variables R(mid) R(low) R(high) to adjust the desired temperature range 0 - 6 C. The case for a positive Coefficient of thermistor 1000 Ohms.

ADN8831-EVL Heating current problem

Hi,

I have set the ADN8831 EVM with the following specifications

1) Tset = 25degCelcius, Tlow = 20degCelcius, Thigh = 30degCelcius

Vtempset = 1.25V

2) Single set point configuration with

R1=Rth=10Kohm

R2=0

R3=60Kohm

3) The limiting cooling/heating current calculated as per the equation in datasheet

Limiting current cooling = 500mA (Vlimc = 1.5V)

Limiting current heating = -300mA (Vlimh = 1.1V)

4) When I connected the TEC and Thermistor and measured the current through TEC I got the following values

Cooling current = 442mA (max)

Heating current = -53mA (max)

The heating current is not going beyond the above value although it is set to -300mA. So I reduced the voltage at limiting current heating pin to Vlimh = 0.9V and got the following current values through the TEC.

Cooling current = 443mA (max)

Heating current = -235mA (max)

As per the equation given in the datasheet, for Vlimh = 0.9V, maximum heating current would be around -700mA. This is a huge discrepancy.

Please let me know what could be the reason of such a behaviour.

Nidhi Singh

Power supply with multiple ground points

Hi,

I've designed an SMPS with the ADP5050 IC and I want to know something: which way is better, to have each power rail with it's own ground connection (5 power rails and 5 ground connection) or all the power rails with one ground connection (5 power rails and one ground connection)?

PS: This SMPS is used to power up an KINTEX-7 FPGA and the FPGA board and SMPS board are 2 boards independently.

Thank you,

Vlad

I used ADM7151 for PLL+VCO power supply ,If the load 400mA current ,then the VCO output will uperimposed spur,if don't use ADM7151, the output is correct.,attachment are ADM7151 circuit diagrams and test phenomena ,so I want to know why ?

When there is a negetive voltage exist on the output of ADP7142, it will not work.

Hello everyone,

There is a problem when I use ADP7142. When I apply a negetive voltage below -0.5V, the LDO will not work. Once the voltage over than -0.5V, the output go back to normal as the curve I captured(the yellow one is a negetive voltage from a signal source in series with a 1k resistor).TEK00026.PNG

Besides, I test the ADP7118 with the same condition, it prove to be the same. But when I test ADP123, it work normal.

Can I use ADM7150 family for precision IMU design?

Hi,

I'm working on high precision IMU/AHRS using high end accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers. I'm looking for best power supply chip to power these MEMS sensors to reduce noise in the circuit as much as possible. Is ADM7150 a good choice? Any other suitable LDO's?

For the ADP1755, page 5 of the datasheet (absolute maximum table) gives a “Junction temperature range” of -40C to +125C, then a “Junction temperature” of +150C.  Is the former the operating temperature limit?
