Regarding the ADP5054.
We have to be able to Sync to an external clock with a range of 500kHz to 880kHz. Per page 16 of the datasheet.
“Note that the internal switching frequency set by the RT pin must be programmed to a value that is close to the external clock value for successful synchronization; the suggested frequency difference is less than ±15% in typical applications.”
Depending on what “typical applications” means, it looks like I can not sync over such a large range. I can not find any more in depth info on this. What I have to do is power up without a Sync input and then dynamically change over to our pulse rate once the “mission” starts. Can I use this part over this range? Looks like I would need to set around 680 kHz and sync over a +/-30% range.
